Why We Need You

NNASA’s vision is all about how we can support nurses in their efforts to improve neonatal care. However, NNASA isn’t just the twelve nurses on the national board. It is each and every one of our members. NNASA would never achieve it’s objectives without you being actively involved in supporting each other.

We need to establish more branches where there is sufficient interest and numbers. Please contact us if you would like a branch in your area and would be willing to assist us with organising the first meeting.

By sharing your knowledge, experience and skills with nurses from different units in your area you empower them to achieve more. Every unit both public and private, big and small has something to teach/share with another.

The more members we have the greater strength we have and more representative we are. This gives NNASA greater credibility when negotiating with the SA Nursing Council and increases chances of getting invitations to represent neonatal nurses at national or international forums. This is how your voice can be heard!

There are so few neonatal nurses and you are all doing such amazing work for our precious babies – so share your stories! Send us pictures of your unit. Tell us how NNASA is helping you or where we are falling short. You could see your pictures and stories showcased on our website gallery or in our newsletters.
